The Global Report on Food Crises (GRFC) provides an overview of the world’s food-crisis countries for which external humanitarian assistance is necessary. Data are available from 2017 to 2024 as in the latest GRFC edition. Data in the various GRFC editions refer more specifically to a subset of the world's identified food crises for which data was available and meeting the GRFC partnership consensus. The Regional Report on Food Security and Nutrition in West Africa and the Sahel 2024 (RRSAN) provides timely and reliable data needed to address the region's increasing food security and nutrition challenges. It presents data and analyses from the latest March 2024 Cadre Harmonisé (CH) cycle and includes expanded technical analyses by the Permanent Interstate Committee for Drought Control in the Sahel (CILSS) and its partners on the 2023-2024 agricultural campaign.

The IGAD Regional Focus of the 2024 Global Report on Food Crises is the result of a collaboration between the Food Security Information Network (FSIN) and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), a regional economic community that forms one of the building blocks of the African Union. It provides a comprehensive assessment of acute food insecurity and malnutrition in the eight IGAD countries as well as trends over time, key drivers and populations of highest concern based on a rigorous methodology. It also presents available data and information on forcibly displaced populations and includes a spotlight on the conflict in Sudan and a focus on pastoralism, deep-diving into important issues for the region.
