Methodology

Kind of Data: Sample survey data [ssd]
Unit of Analysis: Refugee cooperative participants: This group encompasses members involved in crop agriculture, meat-selling, solar energy, and prosopis/briquette cooperatives within the UNHCR-supported projects in the Melkadida sub-office operational area, covering the Dollo Ado and Bokolmayo Woredas of Ethiopia’s Somali Region.
Sampling Procedure: The sampling involved a census of refugee members from selected cooperatives (4 agriculture, 5 meat-selling, 5 solar, 1 prosopis) interviewed at baseline in 2020 and endline in 2023, with a 77% overlap between the two waves.

Full census approach was employed within each identified cooperative cluster.
