Kenya - Household water treatment in Bomet County

This dataset shows the number and proportion of the respondents who reported to treat their drinking water. 65.6% reported to treat their drinking showing that they are oblivious of the causes and prevention of diarrhoeal diseases.

The dataset shows a significant relationship between source of drinking water and probability of water treatment. As depicted by the table, more Households drinking surface water and water from unprotected wells are more likely to treat before drinking compared to those relying on protected sources.

The dataset illustrates the various sources of drinking water as cited by the surveyed households. The survey sought to know the main drinking water sources throughout the year and not during a particular season of the year.
