    UNOSAT code: FL20240826SDN, GDACS ID: 1102854 This map illustrates satellite-detected water extent in Tawkar Locality, Red Sea State, Sudan as observed from a Sentinel-2 satellite image acquired on 26 August 2024 at 10:06 local time (09:56 UTC). Within analysed area of about 4,600 km², a total of about 783 km² of land appears to be affected by floodwaters. Based on Worldpop population data and the flood extent, approximately 33,400 people are potentially exposed or living close to flooded areas.
