    This dataset contains the daily summaries on base stations across Chad. The four indicators included are: * TPCP: Total precipitation * MXSD: Maximum snow depth * TSNW: Total snow fall * EMXP: Extreme maximum daily precipitation Indicators are compiled by the National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI), which is administrated by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) an organization part of the United States government. NOAA has access to data collected from thousands of base stations around the world, which collect data periodically on weather and climate conditions. This dataset contains the latest 5 years of available data.

Global Urban Observatory team analyses and compiles urban indicators statistics from surveys and censuses.     This map illustrates the satellite-detected surface water extent over D’joumane/Bongor and surroundings in Chad along the Logone River as observed from the Radarsat-2 SAR image acquired on 5 October 2017. The analysis of the image indicate that localized standing flood water with very little impact on population and agriculture area. Within the analyzed area (11,680 km2), 15,331 ha of surface water extent was observed of which 6667 ha in Chad and 8664 ha in Cameroon.     This map illustrates satellite-detected areas of a refugee settlement in Sido village, southern Chad as seen by the WorldView-1 satellite on 29 January 2014. Fleeing outbreaks of violence in the Central African Republic, refugees have established a settlement in a portion of Sido village. Note that the camp occupied areas include 543 improvised shelters and 200 tent shelters approximately. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field.     UNOSAT code FL20221019TCD This map illustrates cumulative satellite-detected water using VIIRS in Chad between 30 October to 03 November 2022 compared with the period from 14 to 18 October 2022. Within the cloud free analysed areas of about 1,200,000 km², a total of about 18,000 km² of land appears to be affected. Water extent appears to have decreased of about 6,300 km² since the period between 14 to 18 October 2022. Based on Worldpop population data and the maximal flood water extent ~1 million people are potentially exposed or living close to flooded areas amongst the 16.5 million people living in the analysed zone.     This map illustrates satellite-detected areas of likely refugee populations in Sido village, Moyen - Chari Region, Republic of Chad, as seen by the WorldView-1 and WorldView-2 satellites on 29 January 2014 and 13 June 2014. As of 29 January, fleeing outbreaks of violence in the Central African Republic, refugees had established a primary settlement area in the central portion of Sido village and along the primary road. As of that date, the camp included approximately 543 improvised shelters and 200 tent shelters. As of 13 June 2014 approximately 2,731 tent shelters and new housing structures, 798 improvised shelters or small huts, and 1,255 tukuls or large huts were detected within and around Sido village. Within the cloud free analyzed area of about 17,000 km2, the surface waters appears to have increased of about 700 km2 since 31 October 2018. Based on Worldpop population data and the detected surface waters, the potentially exposed population is mainly located in Mamdi Department with ~28,000 people, Haraze-Al-Biar Department with ~9,700 people and Wayi department with ~9,300 people.
