Insecurity Insight collaborates with the International Network on Explosive Weapons (INEW) in producing research and analysis on the harm and use of explosive weapons for the Explosive Weapons Monitor by documenting their effects on health care, education, and aid access. Every month the Explosive Weapons Monitor publishes a bulletin with incidents from around the world as reported in open sources.

    The ninth round of Iraq's Multi-Cluster Needs Assessment (MCNA) conducted by REACH Initiative in close coordination with the Assessment Working Group (AWG), UN OCHA, Inter-Cluster Coordination Group (ICCG) and partners for data collection, seeks to understand multi-sectoral priority needs of conflict-affected populations living across the whole of Iraq. Between June 09 and August 16, 2021, a total of 11,645 in-camp IDP, out of camp IDP, and returnee households were assessed in a total of 64 districts in Iraq (including 27 formal camps).

Both assessments seek to understand the multi-sectoral needs of IDPs in camps, their movement intentions in the short and long term, and the barriers that IDPs face to return to their area of origin (AoO).

    El informe “Tendencias Humanitarias y Paz noviembre 2012 – junio 2015” es elaborado y publicado por la Oficina de las Naciones Unidas para la Coordinación de Asuntos Humanitarios (OCHA) en colaboración con socios del Equipo Humanitario de País y del Sistema de Naciones Unidas en Colombia, a quienes se les ha compartido este documento para sus contribuciones. Este documento responde a un ejercicio de monitoreo de la situación humanitaria y pretende destacar las tendencias principales registradas tanto por las agencias humanitarias así como por las fuentes oficiales, en un periodo de 32 meses mientras estaban en curso las conversaciones en La Habana entre el Gobierno nacional y las FARC-EP. La mayoría de los datos reportados corresponde a registros y denuncias recibidas por instituciones oficiales y datos consolidados por OCHA a partir de diversas fuentes, con corte a junio de 2015.

    Según el Glosario Nacional de Términos para la Acción Integral contra Minas Antipersonal, por "mina antipersonal" se entiende toda mina concebida para que explosione por la presencia, la proximidad o el contacto de una persona, y que en caso de explosionar tenga la potencialidad de incapacitar, herir y/o matar a una o más personas. Las minas diseñadas para detonar por la presencia, la proximidad o el contacto de un vehículo, y no de una persona que estén provistas de un dispositivo antimanipulación, no son consideradas minas antipersonal por estar así equipadas.
