Since 2007, RedHum (Red de Información Humanitaria para América Latina y el Caribe) has gathered humanitarian information for Central and South American countries in Spanish to offer up-to-date information and help regional decision-making in managing disasters. In 2017, RedHum was rebuilt to use content direct from the ReliefWeb API, streamlining the editorial workflow and the technical requirements.

    The SADC RVAA Programme has the following goal: Reduced poverty and vulnerability through climate-resilient livelihoods in the SADC Region. The Programme has the following purpose: Enhanced regional and national response to climate change, poverty and livelihood vulnerability. To guide the introduction of emerging issues and innovations into the vulnerability assessment and analysis, SADC under the RVAC has established the following technical working groups: Nutrition Information Management Urban Assessments Integrated Phase Classification (IPC) for food security Centre of Excellence (of five Universities) and Capacity Building Markets Assessments Organisation Data Description: Vulnerability assessment and analysis (VAA) concern monitoring of states', households' and individuals' capacity to deal with external hazards such as drought, economic crises, and climate change. Critical elements include meteorological and crop projections, household economic analysis, and food and nutrition security surveys, leading to recommendations for short term and long term interventions.

    Special Representative of the Secretary General for Children and Armed Conflict Organisation Description: The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict serves as the leading UN advocate for the protection and well-being of children affected by armed conflict. The mandate of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict was created by the General Assembly (Resolution A/RES/51/77) following the publication, in 1996, of a report by Graça Machel titled the “Impact of Armed Conflict on Children”. Her report highlighted the disproportionate impact of war on children and identified them as the primary victims of armed conflict.

    The Standby Partnership (SBP) is a network of bilateral agreements between organisations and United Nations (UN) agencies. The partnership commenced in 1991 in response to the humanitarian crisis in Iraq where it was necessary for the United Nations (UN) to rapidly increase its human resources at short notice. Today it comprises a range of partners which provide support to UN agencies responding to humanitarian emergencies throughout the world via the secondment of gratis personnel. Each Standby Partner maintains its own roster of humanitarian experts who are called upon to fill staffing needs and gaps in UN operations.
