'Our World in Data' is compiling COVID-19 testing data over time for many countries around the world. They are adding further data in the coming days as more details become available for other countries. In some cases figures refer to the number of tests, in other cases to the number of individuals who have been tested. Refer to documentation provided here.

This dataset contains excess mortality data for the period covering the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. The data contains the excess mortality data for all known jurisdictions which publish all-cause mortality data meeting the following criteria: daily, weekly or monthly level of granularity includes equivalent historical data for at least one full year before 2020, and preferably at least five years (2015-2019) includes data up to at least April 1, 2020 Most countries publish mortality data with a longer periodicity (typically quarterly or even annually), a longer publication lag time, or both. This sort of data is not suitable for ongoing analysis during an epidemic and is therefore not included here. "Excess mortality" refers to the difference between deaths from all causes during the pandemic and the historic seasonal average. For many of the jurisdictions shown here, this figure is higher than the official Covid-19 fatalities that are published by national governments each day. While not all of these deaths are necessarily attributable to the disease, it does leave a number of unexplained deaths that suggests that the official figures of deaths attributed may significant undercounts of the pandemic's impact.

Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station data (CHIRPS) is a 35+ year quasi-global rainfall data set. It is a gridded rainfall time series for trend analysis and seasonal drought monitoring, spans 50°S-50°N (and all longitudes) and ranges from 1981 to near-present. The anomaly refers to the difference between current rainfall and the average rainfall that occurred between 1981 and 2010 in millimeters. For more information visit the CHIRPS site. This dataset contains the latest available CHIRPS anomaly data. The full list of data available is available from USGS for Mar-May data, Oct-Dec data, and others. Additionally, subnational statistics (mean, min, max) have been calculated for Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia and are available in the csv resource.

The Oceanic Niño Index (ONI) has become the de facto standard that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) uses to identify El Niño (warm) and La Niña (cool) events in the tropical Pacific. It is the three month mean SST anomaly for the El Niño 3.4 region (i.e., 5°N-5°S, 120°-170°W). Events are defined as five consecutive overlapping three month periods at or above the +0.5°C anomaly for warm (El Niño), events and at or below the -0.5 anomaly for cold (La Niña) events. The threshold is further broken down into Weak (with a 0.5 to 0.9 SST anomaly), Moderate (1.0 to 1.4) and Strong (≥ 1.5) events. For an event to be categorized as weak, moderate or strong. it must have equalled or exceeded the threshold for at least three consecutive overlapping three month periods.

This dataset shows the current IPC AMN period (October 2022–May 2023) analysis. The acute malnutrition situation has deteriorated further in GoY-controlled areas when compared to the same period in 2022. This is due to a combination of factors; severe food insecurity, low immunization coverage, poor access to health and WASH services and increased disease incidences.

This dataset is UCDP's most disaggregated dataset, covering individual events of organized violence (phenomena of lethal violence occurring at a given time and place). These events are sufficiently fine-grained to be geo-coded down to the level of individual villages, with temporal durations disaggregated to single, individual days.
