    This dashboard highlights the living situation in Syria by showing the prices of basic market items. How to use this product: The first three pages track price change chronologically on governorate level, with the ability to compare between them by choosing one or more. The subsequent pages show the prices of market items on the governorate and sub-district level with an item availability heat map of any selected item on any selected level and period. You can select one of the listed items in one sub-district or more. When you choose a governorate its subdistrict(s) will be highlighted according to the availability of the selected item in the selected governorate(s). This product is funded by the CDCS-MEAE. Disclaimer: The content, designations, and presentation of material in this report do not necessarily reflect the views or policies of the ACU or contributory organizations/donors, nor does it imply any endorsement. Information is obtained from the ACU’s field network of enumerators by conducting Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) with sources believed to be reliable but are in no way guaranteed. No guarantee of any kind is implied or possible where projections of future conditions are attempted.

With the recent fall of Assad’s regime and Syria’s liberation, the Rapid Needs Assessment (RNA) underscores pressing multisectoral needs in education, food security, WASH, protection, livelihoods, health, and shelter. Key priorities include restoring electricity, enhancing education, ensuring security, delivering food and water, and addressing critical health and shelter needs. These findings highlight the urgency of coordinated interventions to tackle the complex crises affecting communities in Syria.

It sheds light on the reality of displacement camps in Northwest Syria, the numbers of IDPs and their age groups, the nature of IDPs’ shelters, their most urgent needs for the coming winter, and the top priorities of the needs. The report also highlights shows the availability of civil defense centers at the camps. The report presents recommendations for humanitarian actors to respond to the most urgent and life-saving response to be provided based on the findings of the study.

    The recent earthquake that struck the south of Turkey and the north of Syria on the 6th of February has caused widespread destruction and devastation in the region. Thousands of people lost their lives, and many more were injured. The aftermath of this disaster has left many families displaced and in desperate need of medical attention. In response to this crisis, the Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU) conducted a survey in health facilities in northwest Syria to assess epidemiologically earthquake-induced injuries in northwest Syria. This report aims to present this survey’s findings and provide insights into the types of injuries sustained by individuals affected by the earthquake using the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, 10th revision (ICD 10). This report highlights the urgent need for medical aid and support in the affected areas to prevent further loss of life and alleviate the suffering of those impacted by this tragic event.

    On February 6, 2023, at dawn, a strong earthquake hit southern Turkey and northern Syria with a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale, resulting in thousands of casualties and thousands of injured in Turkey and North-West Syria. The Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU), through its field team network represented by the following departments: Early Warning Alert and Response Network, WASH, Polio Team, Immunization Program, Information Management Unit, DPU, and M&E conducted a needs and damage assessment following the devastating earthquake.

    The IMU of the ACU, issues its fourth edition of the “Winter Needs in the Northern Syrian Camps” report, addressing 680 camps in the governorates of Aleppo and Idleb. The report brings to light the most important items that IDPs are in need for in terms of type and quantities, according to international standards for humanitarian response. It furthermore, brings emphasis to bear on the course of action that IDPs, as well as the camp management teams, should follow to drive down the effects of natural disasters that may put their lives at risk. Noting that the number of families that ACU enumerators were able to assess their needs reached 156,873 families, making up an overall individual number of 872,082 IDPs
