The United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT) it is part of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), with a mandate to provide United Nations funds, programmes and specialized agencies with satellite analysis, training and capacity development, at their request, as well as to support Member States with satellite imagery analysis over their respective territories and to provide training and capacity development in the use of geospatial information technologies.

Twaweza works on enabling children to learn, citizens to exercise agency and governments to be more open and responsive in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. We have programs, staff and offices across all three countries, and a world respected practice of learning, monitoring and evaluation. Our flagship programs include Uwezo, Africa’s largest annual citizen assessment to assess children’s learning levels across hundreds of thousands of households, and Sauti za Wananchi, Africa’s first nationally representative mobile phone survey. We undertake effective public and policy engagement, through powerful media partnerships and global leadership of initiatives such as the Open Government Partnership

The Water Point Data Exchange (WPdx) is the global platform for sharing water point data. By establishing a platform for sharing water point data throughout the global water sector, WPdx will add value to the data already being collected. Through bringing together diverse data sets, the water sector can establish an unprecedented understanding of water services. Sharing this data has the potential to improve water access for millions of people as a result of better information available to governments, service providers, researchers, NGOs, and others.

Since its establishment in Haiti in 1978, World Vision International Haiti (WVI-H) has maintained a deep presence in communities in the North, Center and West Departments, reaching more than a yearly average of 200,000 families through its 18 long-term programming zones. Under national and departmental strategies, WVI-H implements integrated and multi-sectoral programs, using sustainable approaches and evidence-based models, fostering sustainability and community ownership. WVI-H operates in rural, peri-urban, and urban areas in three departments, with extended presence in Northeast, Northwest, and the Southern region through grant and special projects. WVI-H also provides relief supplies and assists with recovery from major natural disasters that ravage the country, including the 2010 earthquake and numerous hurricanes such as Hurricane Matthew in 2016, where WVIH delivered over 206,000 unique affected beneficiaries

WorldPop works to ensure that every person is mapped and counted in decision making. WorldPop is an applied research and implementation group based at the University of Southampton and develops open, academically peer-reviewed methods for mapping populations at high spatial resolution across the globe. Since 2013, they have partnered with governments, UN agencies and donors to construct more than 45,000 demographic datasets, complementing traditional population sources with dynamic, high-resolution data from satellites and cellphones for mapping human population distributions.
