This dataset contains dekadal NDVI indicators computed from NASA's Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) collection 6.1 from the Aqua and Terra satellite aggregated by sub-national administrative units.
Included indicators are (for each dekad):
10 day NDVI (vim)
NDVI long term average (vim_lta)
10 day NDVI anomaly [%] (viq)
The administrative units used for aggregation are based on WFP data and contain a Pcode reference attributed to each unit. The number of input pixels used to create the aggregates, is provided in the n_pixelscolumn.
This dataset shows the timeseries data of total monthly transits and carrying capacity (DWT and DT million) of vessels in the Suez and Panama canals, Bosphorus Strait and the Gulf of Aden from 2016 to date.
FTS publishes data on humanitarian funding flows as reported by donors and recipient organizations. It presents all humanitarian funding to a country and funding that is specifically reported or that can be specifically mapped against funding requirements stated in humanitarian response plans. The data comes from OCHA's Financial Tracking Service, is encoded as utf-8 and the second row of the CSV contains HXL tags.

Population statistics in 3 versions, all adjusted to match UN World Population Projection (UN WPP) 2022 totals:
Common Operational Datasets: Default version recommended for use. Mixed source data including OCHA / UNFPA sex and age disaggregated data (SADD), filling gaps with Meta / Facebook and WorldPop.
Meta / Facebbook: Data from Meta / Facebook, filling gaps with WorldPop. Contains limited sex and age groups.
WorldPop: Data only from WorldPop. Contains no sex or age groups, only totals.

Uses Common Operational Datasets (COD) when available, falling back to geoBoundaries for regions without coverage of subnational administrative geodata. Represents the latest available data for humanitarian operational use. Polygons contain only data for the most detailed admin level available, which may not be ADM4 depending on the source. Higher admin levels can be obtained by dissolving by attributes. Lines and points are intended for cartographic applications.

Uses geoBoundaries exclusively, representing data suitable for most purposes, academic or commercial. Requires attribution to geoBoundaries. Polygons contain only data for the most detailed admin level available, which may not be ADM4 depending on the source. Higher admin levels can be obtained by dissolving by attributes. Lines and points are intended for cartographic applications.
Contains data from the World Bank's data portal covering the following topics which also exist as individual datasets on HDX: Agriculture and Rural Development, Aid Effectiveness, Economy and Growth, Education, Energy and Mining, Environment, Financial Sector, Health, Infrastructure, Social Protection and Labor, Poverty, Private Sector, Public Sector, Science and Technology, Social Development, Urban Development, Gender, Millenium development goals, Climate Change, External Debt, Trade.
Conflict and disaster population movement (flows) data for Zimbabwe. The data is the most recent available and covers a 180 day time period.
Internally displaced persons are defined according to the 1998 Guiding Principles (https://www.internal-displacement.org/publications/ocha-guiding-principles-on-internal-displacement) as people or groups of people who have been forced or obliged to flee or to leave their homes or places of habitual residence, in particular as a result of armed conflict, or to avoid the effects of armed conflict, situations of generalized violence, violations of human rights, or natural or human-made disasters and who have not crossed an international border.
The IDMC's Event data, sourced from the Internal Displacement Updates (IDU), offers initial assessments of internal displacements reported within the last 180 days. This dataset provides provisional information that is continually updated on a daily basis, reflecting the availability of data on new displacements arising from conflicts and disasters. The finalized, carefully curated, and validated estimates are then made accessible through the Global Internal Displacement Database (GIDD), accessible at https://www.internal-displacement.org/database/displacement-data. The IDU dataset comprises preliminary estimates aggregated from various publishers or sources.
These datasets contain information on reported incidents of violence and threats affecting aid operations and workers, education, health care services and refugee and IDP camps in the oPt. They also provide information on incidents of conflict related sexual violence (CRSV) and explosive weapons use affecting aid access, education and health care services. Also included are datasets cited in the Safeguarding Health in Conflict Coalition (SHCC)'s annual reports. Please get in touch if you are interested in curated datasets: info@insecurityinsight.org
UNOSAT code: TC20240313MOZ, GDACS ID: 1001053 This map illustrates satellite detected surface waters in Maputo province, Mozambique, as observed from a Sentinel-1 images acquired on 23 March 2024 at 05:19 local time (03:19 UTC). Within the analyzed areas of about 950 km², a total of about 10 km² of lands appear to be flooded.
This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT).
This dataset provides figures on staff and peacekeeper fatalities in Peacekeeping and Special Political Missions from 1948-Present, based on the receipt of official Notifications of Peacekeeper Casualties (NOTICAS). The dataset specifies details such as casualty mission, casualty nationality and type of incident.
This bi-weekly dataset provides an overview of the latest areas of control in Yemen and includes a map, excel spreadsheet and GIS layer. All datasets are fully PCODED to Admin 2 district level, enabling interoperability with other datasets. Through understanding the latest areas of control, it is possible to enhance analysis in areas such as political-economy through adjusting tools to take into account the current geographic situation. This dataset forms part of the Yemen CrisisInsight product suite which includes the Yemen Core Dataset, Yemen: Crisis Impact Overview and Yemen Risk Overview.
The IPC Acute Food Insecurity (IPC AFI) classification provides strategically relevant information to decision makers that focuses on short-term objectives to prevent, mitigate or decrease severe food insecurity that threatens lives or livelihoods. This data has been produced by the National IPC Technical Working Groups for IPC population estimates since 2017. All national population figures are based on official country population estimates. IPC estimates are those published in country IPC reports.

The attacks in the Red Sea are disrupting commercial and humanitarian supplies. International partners have raised alarm over the economic and humanitarian impact of the escalating attacks on ships in the Red Sea which are adding strain to shipping routes already hit by conflicts and climate change. The crisis in the Red Sea, marked by Houthi-led attacks disrupting shipping routes, has added another layer of complexity.
In response to the Red Sea crisis, major players in the shipping industry have temporarily suspended Suez transits.
The diversion of cargo flow has a major impact on the access to commodities, especially for countries relying heavily on imports. That will also lead to higher costs and delays for humanitarian operations in the Horn of Africa. Continued tensions in the area may result in diverting international attention from the ongoing conflict in Sudan and the climate-related impacts on countries within Southern and Eastern Africa.
The situation is fluid and volatile, with the worst plummets in the last 7 years seen in early 2024. This has a potential for significant consequences depending on future developments
