International Organization for Migration (IOM) conducted the rapid representative assessment of the general population in Ukraine to gather insights into internal displacement and mobility flows, and to assess local needs. The geographical scope of the assessment covers the entire territory of Ukraine, all six macro-regions (West, East, North, Center, South, and the city of Kyiv), with the exception of the Crimean peninsula. The dataset contains individual number of returnees at macro-region level.

A baseline assessment is a sub-component of mobility tracking. It aims to collect data on IDP, migrant or returnee population presence in a defined administrative area of the country.

The Registered IDP Area Baseline Assessment provides granular data on the number and geographic location of officially registered internally displaced people (IDPs). The data collected for the Area Baseline Assessment Round 38 reflects the officially registered internally displaced population (IDP) displaced since 24 February 2022, as of 31 October 2024, across 23 oblasts and Kyiv City, as recorded by IOM.

In response to the need for accurate information on internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Nigeria, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) began implementing the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) project in July 2014. The project is supporting the Government of Nigeria and other humanitarian response partners to conduct IDPs assessments in a systematic way as well as to establish a profile of the IDP population. Since October 8 there has been an increase in cross-border incidents between Israel and Lebanon, resulting in the displacement of people both within the South and elsewhere within the country. Since October 10, the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) has been conducting the daily monitoring of population movements. The objective of the exercise is to inform preparedness and response planning.

The data collection exercise conducted in the villages of Aru, Djugu, Irumu, Mahagi and Mambasa territories. It contains number of IDPs, returnees and theri needs.

In April 2024, the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) agreed on conducting a MSNA in Mozambique covering 9 provinces and 3 population groups (IDPs, returnees and host population), to provide valuable information on critical needs’ magnitude and severity, aiming to highlight gaps and priority areas of intervention for the humanitarian response in 2025. Multi-Sectoral Needs Assessment (MSNA) is a tool used by the humanitarian community to determine the nature and scale of a crisis and the needs of a given population in specific geographic locations through the collection of primary data. A MSNA supports evidence- based planning and decision-making during the Humanitarian Planning Cycle (HPC) and other strategic humanitarian processes.

This Data is about IDP, returnees from CAR (previous IDP) and returnees from other countries repartition by origin and period of displacement and between 2013 and the date of assessment. Evaluation has been run in 6 prefectures (admin1), 16 sub-prefectures (admin2) and 367 localities.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has a complex internal displacement situation with a diverse set of drivers and impacts. In the country’s eastern provinces, armed conflict and insecurity have long been the primary drivers of the large-scale protracted displacement that the region experiences. This has been compounded, since mid-2022, by a resurgence in armed group activity in the provinces of North Kivu and Ituri leading to internal unrest, regional instability, and widespread acute displacement. On top of the large-scale humanitarian crisis in the east of the country, other regions of the DRC have experienced conflict, insecurity, and disasters such as floods and landslides. A complete understanding of the displacement situation across the entire DRC is vital to inform both near-term humanitarian assistance, as well as engaging a wider array of stakeholders involved in long-term programming. The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) is IOM’s system for collecting and analysing primary data concerning population movement and has been deployed over 90 humanitarian operations globally. DTM has conducted large-scale population mobility monitoring in the country’s eastern part since 2018.

DTM REMAP implements the Baseline Mobility Assessment (BMA) in Tajikistan to track mobility, provide information on population estimates, geographic distribution of migrant workers and return migrants, reasons for migration and countries of return. Data is collected at the village level from key informants and direct observations.

The dataset aims to collect data on population presence, living conditions and needs in a particular displacement location or community.

Due to Sahel Crisis, IOM DTM conducted mobility tracking in Alibori and Atacora departments in Benin. The datasets show the total number of IDP individuals identified and the origin of the majority of IDPs.

The Mobility Tracking Matrix (MTM) is a system that tracks and monitors population mobility and displacement. MTM is adapted to the context in Kazakhstan based on IOM’s Global Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) methodology. DTM is designed to regularly and systematically capture, process, and disseminate information to provide a better understanding of the movements and evolving needs of mobile population groups, whether on-site or en route.

This dataset presents compiled data from the most recent round of DTM DRC’s mobility tracking assessments, currently conducted in the provinces of Ituri, North Kivu, South Kivu, and Tanganyika.

This is the 2021 multisector needs analysis data (MSNA) - a comprehensive household-level analysis covering all states in Sudan.

A site assessment is a sub-component of mobility tracking. It aims to collect data on population presence, living conditions and needs in a particular displacement site or community.

The dataset has IDPs households and individuals with age and gender disaggregated data at sub national level.

A village assessment survey (VAS) is a sub-component of mobility tracking. It collects data on returning IDPs, IDPs, returned migrants and host community members. VAS evaluates the absorption capacity of villages to receive returning IDPs with a focus on accessibility of services, livelihoods and reintegration.

DTM Round 2 was applied in Tumbes, Tacna and Lima Metropolitan; between December 2017 and January 2018. This had questions related to Profile of Venezuelan migrant, Living conditions in Lima and Callao, Migratory route, Place of transit, Difficulties on the route, Situation in the transit country and others fields

The datasets cover the period of 4 September 2019 - 30 December 2021 and includes the states mostly affected by displacement including Benue,Nasarawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Plateau, Sokoto and Zamfara.

The CoRA employs a multi-sectoral location-level assessment (MSLA) methodology conducted with local authority key informants at the settlement or city-raion level. The assessment is based on 20 indicators divided into five ‘drivers’: (1) livelihoods, (2) utilities and services (3) residential destruction, (4) safety and security, and (5) public life. The indicators describe the critical or minimum conditions required for sustainable return and reintegration in Ukraine. The scores of each indicator and driver are grouped into three categories: low, medium, and high severity of living conditions.
