ChildFund is an international NGO working in 26 countries to help deprived, excluded and vulnerable children have the capacity to improve their lives and become young adults, parents and leaders who bring lasting and positive change to their communities. Through its theory of change and an evidence-based life-stage approach, ChildFund is committed to improved change that leads to healthy and secure infants, educated and confident children, and skilled and involved youth. This holistic approach to development improves child well-being through integrated interventions in child protection, education, health and nutrition, early childhood development, livelihoods and in emergencies. ChildFund began its work in Senegal in 1985, is active in over 1,000 communities and has over 25,000 children enrolled for sponsorship with over 18,000 currently sponsored.
