These data sets are intended to inform researchers and public health experts about how populations are responding to physical distancing measures. In particular, there are two metrics, Change in Movement and Stay Put, that provide a slightly different perspective on movement trends. Change in Movement looks at how much people are moving around and compares it with a baseline period that predates most social distancing measures, while Stay Put looks at the fraction of the population that appear to stay within a small area during an entire day. Data are available for over 90 indicators in 14 topic areas, including education, food security, income, safety nets, and others. For more information, please refer to our Technical Note and Data Dictionary. Unit of Measure Percentages. Aggregation Method: The data is aggregated by Urban/Rural/National and Industry Sector Disclaimer: This harmonized dataset is an ongoing collation and harmonization of COVID-19 high-frequency phone survey (HFPS) data. Harmonization involves redefining indicators and categories so that they are comparable across countries. As a result, even if the names and definitions of indicators appear similar, numbers in this global database might differ slightly from those of each country's publications or dashboard. The Future of Business survey is a collaboration between Facebook, the OECD and the World Bank to provide timely insights on the perceptions, challenges, and outlook of online Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The Future of Business survey was first launched as a monthly survey in 17 countries in February 2016 and expanded to 42 countries in 2018. In 2019, the Future of Business survey increased coverage to 97 countries and moved to a bi-annual cadence. The target population consists of SMEs that have an active Facebook business Page and include both newer and longer-standing businesses, spanning across a variety of sectors. To date, more than 90 million SMEs have created a Facebook Page, and more than 700,000 of these Facebook Page owners have taken the survey. With more businesses leveraging online tools each day, the survey provides a lens into a new mobilized, digital economy and, in particular, insights on the actors: a relatively unmeasured community worthy of deeper consideration and considerable policy interest. The survey includes questions about perceptions of current and future economic activity, challenges, business characteristics and strategy. Custom modules include questions related to regulation, access to finance, digital payments, and digital skills. The full questionnaire is available for download. This dataset contains survey response data aggregated by country and wave. Future of Business Survey website: futureofbusinesssurvey.org

The AWSD is a global compilation of reports on major security incidents involving deliberate acts of violence affecting aid workers. Incident data is collected both from public sources, through systematic media filtering using a data scraper tool developed for Humanitarian Outcomes, and from information provided directly to the project by aid organisations and operational security entities. The project also maintains agreements with a number of regional and field-level security consortiums for direct information sharing and verification of incidents. Incident reports are crosschecked and verified with the relevant agencies on an annual basis via our verification project. The latest, unverified incidents are provided on the online database with the qualification that the numbers are provisional and may change. For more: https://aidworkersecurity.org/about

This dataset is UCDP's most disaggregated dataset, covering individual events of organized violence (phenomena of lethal violence occurring at a given time and place). These events are sufficiently fine-grained to be geo-coded down to the level of individual villages, with temporal durations disaggregated to single, individual days. • The "GRID3 Uganda Settlement Extents, Version 01" supersedes "GRID3 Uganda Settlement Extents Version 01, Alpha." The dataset consists of settlement extents across Uganda, as well as accompanying population estimates for each settlement extent. This data product contains all information contained in the previous “GRID3 Uganda Settlement Extents, Version 01 Alpha” product, with updates. Updates in this version include: a single settlement extent feature class (alpha version contains the same data in three separate feature class layers: BUAs, SSAs, and hamlets) and new population estimate fields (Population and Pop_UN_adj) for each settlement extent. This work has been undertaken as part of the Geo-Referenced Infrastructure and Demographic Data for Development (GRID3) programme. The programme is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the United Kingdom's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. It is implemented by the Flowminder Foundation, WorldPop at the University of Southampton, the United Nations Population Fund, and the Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) at Columbia University.
