Live feed sources on severe weather across the United States. The Current Weather and Wind Station Data layer is created from hourly METAR station data provided from NOAA and contains approximately 11 weather variables for each location.
Living Atlas live feed sources for hurricane path, observed path, forecast path, and intensity of tropical cyclone activity (hurricanes, typhoons, cyclones) from the National Hurricane Center and Joint Typhoon Warning Center
From June to October 2022, storms and heavy monsoon rains in Pakistan have caused widespread flooding and landslides across the country. IOM implemented the CNI to provide partners with timely information on the displacement situation. This dataset is aggregated to the district level.
For more information on the multisectoral needs of the affected population at the village level, please find it on the DTM portal (https://dtm.iom.int/pakistan).
We use an anonymized snapshot of all active Facebook users and their friendship networks to measure the intensity of connectedness between locations. The Social Connectedness Index (SCI) is a measure of the social connectedness between different geographies. Specifically, it measures the relative probability that two individuals across two locations are friends with each other on Facebook.
Details on the underlying data and the construction of the index are provided in the “Facebook Social Connectedness Index - Data Notes.pdf” file. Please also see https://dataforgood.facebook.com/ as well as the associated research paper “Social Connectedness: Measurement, Determinants and Effects,” published in the Journal of Economic Perspectives (https://www.aeaweb.org/articles?id=10.1257/jep.32.3.259).
Region identifiers are taken from GADM v2.8 https://gadm.org/download_country_v2.html. Future versions will update IDs to be compatible with the newest GADM version.
The information in this dataset has been collected through key informants and might rapidly change.
From 15 April 2023, armed clashes erupted between the Sudanese Army Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in multiple cities across Sudan, including Khartoum, Al Fasher, Merowe, Nyala, Ag Geneina, and El Obeid – among others.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world’s largest humanitarian network. Our secretariat supports local Red Cross and Red Crescent action in more than 192 countries, bringing together almost 15 million volunteers for the good of humanity.
We launch Emergency Appeals for big and complex disasters affecting lots of people who will need long-term support to recover. We also support Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to respond to lots of small and medium-sized disasters worldwide—through our Disaster Response Emergency Fund (DREF) and in other ways.
There is also a global dataset.

The Who does What Where (3W) is a core humanitarian coordination dataset. It is critical to know where humanitarian organizations are working and what they are doing in order to identify gaps and plan for future humanitarian response. This dataset includes a list of humanitarian organizations operating in Nigeria at LGA level.
This dataset lists project funding allocations from OCHA's Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF). CERF allocations are made to ensure a rapid response to sudden-onset emergencies or to rapidly deteriorating conditions in an existing emergency and to support humanitarian response activities within an underfunded emergency.
In response to the need for timely and accurate information on the multi-hazard in Uganda, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Uganda implements the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM). This dataset includes the number of affected individuals and households, the number of displaced individuals and households, and the most pressing needs.
DTM REMAP implements the Baseline Mobility Assessment (BMA) in Tajikistan to track mobility, provide information on population estimates, geographic distribution of migrant workers and return migrants, reasons for migration and countries of return. Data is collected at the village level from key informants and direct observations.

Since October 8 there has been an increase in cross-border incidents between Israel and Lebanon, resulting in the displacement of people both within the South and elsewhere within the country. Since October 10, the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) has been conducting the daily monitoring of population movements. The objective of the exercise is to inform preparedness and response planning.
The Burundi 2019-2020 Socioeconomic Survey presents a detailed dataset on the socioeconomic conditions of refugees in Burundi. Conducted alongside the UNHCR's Verification Exercise, it leveraged the UNHCR and the Government of Burundi's database, selecting a systematic random sample. The survey utilized Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) for data collection, with questionnaires covering a wide range of topics like household characteristics, education, employment, and access to services. Initially conducted through in-person interviews, the survey adapted to phone interviews due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fieldwork involved three teams from mid-November 2019 to May 2020, with extensive training and supervision to ensure data quality. The questionnaire, primarily in English, was administered with interpreters when necessary. Additionally, uniform sample weights were estimated for each household based on their selection probability, and sensitivity checks were performed to validate the data's robustness. This dataset is crucial for understanding the complex socioeconomic dynamics faced by refugees in Burundi.
Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station data (CHIRPS) is a 35+ year quasi-global rainfall data set. It is a gridded rainfall time series for trend analysis and seasonal drought monitoring, spans 50°S-50°N (and all longitudes) and ranges from 1981 to near-present. The anomaly refers to the difference between current rainfall and the average rainfall that occurred between 1981 and 2010 in millimeters. For more information visit the CHIRPS site.
This dataset contains the latest available CHIRPS anomaly data. The full list of data available is available from USGS for Mar-May data, Oct-Dec data, and others.
Additionally, subnational statistics (mean, min, max) have been calculated for Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia and are available in the csv resource.
