The dataset shows the various hand washing practices in Bomet County. A significant number of the care givers reported to wash their hands with soap and water at 86.6% during the critical times followed by those who reported to use only water at 10.6%

The dataset illustrates that 51.4% of the surveyed households have a caregiver with knowledge on at least three critical times for hand washing and information on disposal of faeces. A majority (51.4%) of caregivers in Chepalungu and Bomet Central have knowledge on at least three critical hand washing times as well as information on faeces disposal. The critical times for hand washing include; after visiting the toilet, before eating; before cooking and also has information on proper disposal of faeces.
