Methodology

The dataset has been created by combining existing roads data from the Global Logistics Cluster, SIGCAF and a dataset from Tecsult whihc was produced for the Africa Infrastructure Country Diagnostic (AICD). The new dataset conforms to the UN Global Spatial Data Infrastrucutre for Transportation (GSDI-T). Road names have been obtained from the Tecsult dataset where available. Information on Practicability, surface type, surface condition, etc is from the Global Logistics Cluster. Frequent update is required for this dataset.
