Dataset shows shows rice production in various irrigation schemes over the last five years. The total area cropped increased by 25.1 percent from 21.9 thousand hectares in 2017 to 27.4 thousand hectares in 2018. This was mainly due to an increase in area under irrigation brought about by sufficient irrigation water in Mwea scheme, which accounted for 84.3 percent of the total area cropped.
