What is Data Grid Completeness?
Data Grid Completeness defines a set of core data that are essential for preparedness and emergency response. For select countries, the HDX Team and trusted partners evaluate datasets available on HDX and add those meeting the definition of a core data category to the Data Grid Completeness board above. Please help us improve this feature by sending your feedback to hdx@un.org.

IOM conducted rapid representative surveys of the general population in Ukraine to gather initial insights into internal displacement and mobility flows, and to assess local needs. While Displacement Tracking Matrix tools are being established, this general population survey will serve as a preliminary source to identify areas with high humanitarian needs and to inform the targeting of response aiming to assist the conflict-affected population. The geographical scope of the survey covers all five macro-regions (West, East, North, Center, South, and the city of Kyiv). The probabilistic sample, representative at macro-region level, was constructed through a random‐digit‐dial (RDD) approach, and 2,000 respondents aged 18 and over were interviewed using the computer assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) method. Those currently outside Ukraine were not interviewed. Population estimates assume that children travel together with their adult guardians. The estimates rely on the UNFPA population data for Ukraine, agreed upon as the common population baseline by the humanitarian community.

In 2015, the World Health Organization established the Attacks on Health Care (AHC) initiative. This initiative is a priority of WHO’s Health Emergencies Programme. The vision of the initiative is that essential lifesaving health services must be provided to emergency-affected populations unhindered by any form of violence or obstruction. The Surveillance System for Attacks on Health Care (SSA) is one of the outputs of this initiative. The purpose of the WHO Surveillance System for Attacks on Health Care (SSA) is to systematically collect and make available data on attacks on health care, and their immediate impact on health care in countries facing emergencies. Definition of attack WHO defines an attack as any act of verbal or physical violence, threat of violence or other psychological violence, or obstruction that interferes with the availability, access and delivery of curative and/or preventive health services. Criteria for determining the level of certainty of an attack on health care Rumour Social media post (Twitter or Facebook) OR Hearsay OR Form submission from anonymous source Possible Media report from local or international news source OR Communication from an organization not defined in the partner group that an attack has been made against them Probable One eyewitness accounts of the attack as told to one or more SSA partner OR Two secondary accounts (not eyewitnesses) of the attack as told to one or more SSA partner(s) Confirmed Communication from an SSA partner that an attack has been made against them OR One eyewitness account by someone from the SSA partner group OR Two eyewitness accounts of the attack as told to one or more SSA partner(s) OR Types and sources of information that would be graded as ‘Probable’ PLUS-A photo, video or satellite image of the attack or its aftermath, or an international media or police report that provides clear evidence of the attack

This dataset is part of the data series [?]: UNDP Human Development Reports Office - Human Development Indicators
The aim of the Human Development Report is to stimulate global, regional and national policy-relevant discussions on issues pertinent to human development. Accordingly, the data in the Report require the highest standards of data quality, consistency, international comparability and transparency. The Human Development Report Office (HDRO) fully subscribes to the Principles governing international statistical activities. The HDI was created to emphasize that people and their capabilities should be the ultimate criteria for assessing the development of a country, not economic growth alone. The HDI can also be used to question national policy choices, asking how two countries with the same level of GNI per capita can end up with different human development outcomes. These contrasts can stimulate debate about government policy priorities. The Human Development Index (HDI) is a summary measure of average achievement in key dimensions of human development: a long and healthy life, being knowledgeable and have a decent standard of living. The HDI is the geometric mean of normalized indices for each of the three dimensions. The 2019 Global Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) data shed light on the number of people experiencing poverty at regional, national and subnational levels, and reveal inequalities across countries and among the poor themselves.Jointly developed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) at the University of Oxford, the 2019 global MPI offers data for 101 countries, covering 76 percent of the global population. The MPI provides a comprehensive and in-depth picture of global poverty – in all its dimensions – and monitors progress towards Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1 – to end poverty in all its forms. It also provides policymakers with the data to respond to the call of Target 1.2, which is to ‘reduce at least by half the proportion of men, women, and children of all ages living in poverty in all its dimensions according to national definition'.

The CoRA employs a multi-sectoral location-level assessment (MSLA) methodology conducted with local authority key informants at the settlement or city-raion level. The assessment is based on 20 indicators divided into five ‘drivers’: (1) livelihoods, (2) utilities and services (3) residential destruction, (4) safety and security, and (5) public life. The indicators describe the critical or minimum conditions required for sustainable return and reintegration in Ukraine. The scores of each indicator and driver are grouped into three categories: low, medium, and high severity of living conditions. For more information on the methodology, please refer to the full report. When requesting the dataset, please specify if you would like to receive the report as well.

    1) The dataset is produced by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in collaboration with humanitarian partners. It presents the number of people in need (PiN), the severity of those needs, the activities of the planned response, and the number of people to be targeted for humanitarian assistance in Ukraine as explained the 2024 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan (HNRP). 2) The interpretation and use of this data should be guided by the 2024 Ukraine Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan. 3) The data sources and methodology for the derivation of the PIN and severity is explained in Annex 4.2 of the Ukraine 2024 HNRP, "Analysis Methodology & Data Sources", which also includes the description and sources of the baseline population estimates.

A high-resolution asset exposure dataset produced using 'lit population' (LitPop), a globally consistent methodology to disaggregate asset value data proportional to a combination of nightlight intensity and geographical population data. Exposure data for population, asset values and productive capital at 4km spatial resolution globally, consistent across country borders. The dataset offers value for manifold use cases, including globally consistent economic disaster risk assessments and climate change adaptation studies, especially for larger regions, yet at considerably high resolution. The Climada Data API can be used to explore the full, original datasets.

Information is compiled from a variety of sources. While every effort has been made to ensure that all statistical information is verified, figures on some arrivals represent an estimate. Triangulation of information and sources is performed on a continuous basis. Therefore, amendments in figures may occur, including retroactively.
