FTS publishes data on humanitarian funding flows as reported by donors and recipient organizations. It presents all humanitarian funding to a country and funding that is specifically reported or that can be specifically mapped against funding requirements stated in humanitarian response plans. The data comes from OCHA's Financial Tracking Service, is encoded as utf-8 and the second row of the CSV contains HXL tags.

This dataset contains CSV files on response progress monitoring for each of the WASH sector indicators in the response to the crisis in north eastern Nigeria. Each file has 4 data columns representing the achievements for that indicator categorized as either Humanitarian, Nexus and Development (or both). The fourth column lists the overall achievement. Data contained in each file is at LGA level and a reference column is included in each file with the Admin2 P-Codes, with respect to water adequacy, desludging, household sanitation, hygiene kits, hygiene promotion, operation and maintenance of water points, sanitation activities in institutions (schools, health facilities, safe spaces, CMAN sites) and water activities in institutions and waste management.

Contained in this zip folder are CSV files containing DTM baselines, the WASH Sector Host Community Baseline (hcpop.csv), WASH Sector People in Need (PiN) Dataset (pin.csv), WASH Sector Sex and Age Data Disaggregation (SADD) computation (sadd.csv), and the Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States LGA list (rpm_name.csv; joiner.csv). Data contained in each file is at LGA level and a reference column is included in each file with the Admin2 P-Codes.

This is a geometrical shapefile of water point data for eleven (11) hot spot Local Government Areas and describes the water point location type (broadly IDP Camps or Host Communities). Data contains water source details such as nature of the water source, yield, operating hours, facility type, daily yield, and adequacy. The data was collected by UNICEF Data Focal Persons during a water point baseline assessment conducted in March 2019. Data contained in this file is at water point level.

Facebook has produced a model to help map global medium voltage (MV) grid infrastructure, i.e. the distribution lines which connect high-voltage transmission infrastructure to consumer-serving low-voltage distribution. The data found here are model outputs for six select African countries: Malawi, Nigeria, Uganda, DRC, Cote D’Ivoire, and Zambia. The grid maps are produced using a new methodology that employs various publicly-available datasets (night time satellite imagery, roads, political boundaries, etc) to predict the location of existing MV grid infrastructure. The model documentation and code are also available , so data scientists and planners globally can replicate the model to expand model coverage to other countries where this data is not already available. You can find the model code and documentation here: https://github.com/facebookresearch/many-to-many-dijkstra Note: current model accuracy is approximately 70% when compared to existing ground-truthed data. Accuracy can be further improved by integrating other locally-relevant information into the model and running it again. Resolution: geotiff is provided at Bing Tile Level 20

Age and sex structures: WorldPop produces different types of gridded population count datasets, depending on the methods used and end application. An overview of the data can be found in Tatem et al, and a description of the modelling methods used found in Tatem et al and Pezzulo et al. The 'Global per country 2000-2020' datasets represent the outputs from a project focused on construction of consistent 100m resolution population count datasets for all countries of the World for each year 2000-2020 structured by male/female and 5-year age classes (plus a <1 year class). These efforts necessarily involved some shortcuts for consistency. The 'individual countries' datasets represent older efforts to map population age and sex counts for each country separately, using a set of tailored geospatial inputs and differing methods and time periods. The 'whole continent' datasets are mosaics of the individual countries datasets. The health and survival of women and their new-born babies in low income countries is a key public health priority, but basic and consistent subnational data on the number of pregnancies to support decision making has been lacking. WorldPop integrates small area data on the distribution of women of childbearing age, age-specific fertility rates, still births and abortions to map the estimated distributions of pregnancies for each 1x1km grid square across all low and middle income countries. Further details on the methods can be found in Tatem et al and James et al.. WorldPop (www.worldpop.org - School of Geography and Environmental Science, University of Southampton). 2017. This map illustrates satellite-detected areas of displaced persons shelters in the Sangaya settlement, Borno state, Nigeria, and in the surrounding town of Dikwa. UNITAR-UNOSAT analysis of satellite imagery acquired 29 September 2016 revealed a total of 433 shelters and 54 infrastructure and support buildings within the Sangaya compound and a total of 2,259 shelters scattered in the surrounding town. A density analysis has been performed to highlight the most dense shelters areas (Sangaya settlement included), ranging from 400 to 10,500 shelters per square kilometer. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to UNITAR - UNOSAT.
