The Global Food Prices Database has data on food prices (e.g., beans, rice, fish, and sugar) for 76 countries and some 1,500 markets. The dataset includes around 500,000 records and is updated monthly. The data goes back as far as 1992 for a few countries, although most of the price trends start in 2000-2002.

This is a gridded (1km) dataset of annual biomass production (Dry Matter Productivity) in West Africa from 1998 to the present. The data includes a mean, comprising of the average production from 1998 to the present. Each pixel value is expressed in kilogrammes of dry matter per hectare. The data is produced from 10-day images of DMP and NDVI from the PROBA-V satellite. The dekdal images are processed by The Flemish Institute of Technology (VITO). The yearly images are produced by Action Contre la Faim using the BioGenerator algorithim. More information on th BioGenerator is available here: http://sigsahel.info/index.php/knowledgebase/

This dataset shows the extent of six climatic zones for West Africa.It is not intended for local studies but only for regional comparison. The dataset is one of the outputs of a complete GIS mapping study to calculate the hydropower potential of all West African rivers. The project was developed by ECREEE, the ECOWAS Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, under the Small Scale Hydropower Program.
