The Mid-year Whole of Afghanistan Assessment 2022 (Mid-year WoAA 2022) is a multi sectoral need assessment, conducted on in-person household-level interviews, and provides data on household`s different sectoral and intersectoral needs such as health, education, nutrition, WASH, food security, shocks, protection, and so on. This file consists of clean data from household-level interviews. Data was collected using stratified cluster sampling and all findings calculated using this data would have a minimum confidence level of 90% and a 10% margin of error at national and provincial levels for the target population groups. Note that any analysis conducted using this data should use the weights included in the final column of the dataset.

This dataset is part of the data series [?]: UNHCR - Protection Monitoring
To strengthen and promote an evidence-based protection response, UNHCR and its partners have been implementing a protection monitoring exercise since May 2022 to regularly collect and analyze data about the profiles, needs and intentions of refugees from Ukraine and monitor changes over time. The exercise covers the following countries that have received refugees from Ukraine: Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Republic of Moldova (5,035), Poland, Romania and Slovakia. The protection monitoring involves household-level interviews conducted at border crossing points, reception and transit centres, collective sites, and assistance points in major cities using a structured questionnaire. Trained enumerators from UNHCR and partners collect data in face-to-face interviews. While respondents are randomly selected to reduce bias, the sample is considered a non-probability sample and results should be considered indicative, meaning they cannot be extrapolated to the population of refugees from Ukraine. The result reflects the refugees' situation and intentions at the time of data collection. This dataset includes 5,101 household interviews conducted in the Republic of Moldova between May and September 2022. It is an anonymous version of the original data collected and used for the primary analysis.

South Sudan Inter-Sector Needs Assessment (ISNA) data includes demographic and cluster indicator data (provided by ICCG clusters). Data disaggregated by cluster indicator, by counties and by population groups (IDPs, IDP-returnees, host-communities). The ISNA processes follow the IASC guided multi-sector Need assessment approach. The ISNA process consists of qualitative and quantitative components. IOM led the quantitative data collection and REACH led the qualitative data collection (qualitative data not included in this dataset). Entire process ISNA process managed by the ISAN technical working group (TWG) consists of IOM, REACH and OCHA. Starting in February 2022, an increasing number of refugees and third-country nationals (TCNs) entering Poland was registered as a result of the war in Ukraine. As of July 2022, over 4.3 million arrivals have been reported by the Polish authorities from Ukraine. To ensure that reponse actors have the necessary evidence base to effectively respond to the needs of Ukrainian refugee households in Poland, UNHCR and REACH carried out this joint Multi-Sectoral Needs Assessment (MSNA) targeting the population displaced due to the war in Ukraine and currently residing in Poland. Due to lack of complete data on location and profile of refugees residing in Poland, PESEL registration data (the national identification number used in Poland) was used as a proxy indicator for sampling for non-probability quota sampling for refugees residing in the host community. The sample includea two distinct population groups: refugees living in host community, outside of the collective sites (CSs), and refugees residing in CSs. Refugees living outside of CSs cover a variety of accommodation types, including private accommodation, being hosted by family, friends, or by Polish families, among others. This dataset is the anonymous version of the original dataset.

This dataset is part of the data series [?]: UNHCR - Post-Distribution Monitoring of Cash-Based Intervention
UNHCR uses Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) as a mechanism to collect refugees' feedback on the quality, sufficiency, utilization and effectiveness of the assistance items they receive. The underlying principle behind the process is linked to accountability, as well as a commitment to improve the quality and relevance of support provided. UNHCR increasingly uses Cash-Based Interventions (CBIs) as a preferred modality for delivering assistance, offering greater dignity and choice to forcibly displaced and stateless persons in line with UNHCR's core protection mandate. In order to ensure that the cash assistance provided meets the intended programme objectives and that desired outcomes are achieved, UNHCR conducts regular post-distribution and outcome monitoring with a sample or all of refugee recipients.

Starting in February 2022, an increasing number of refugees and third-country nationals (TCNs) entering Hungary was registered as a result of the war in Ukraine. As of November 2022, over 1.7 million arrivals have been reported by the Hungarian authorities from Ukraine. To respond to their needs, informing the planning for the 2023 Refugee Response Plan in Hungary, the Inter-Agency Coordination Team carried out this joint Multi-Sectoral Needs Assessment (MSNA) targeting the population displaced due to the war in Ukraine and currently residing in Hungary. Data collection took place in September 2022. Overall, accommodation, education, employment opportunities, and access to mental health care appeared as the overriding concerns for the population displaced to Hungary from Ukraine. In addition, four out of 10 respondents declared constraints in meeting the basic needs of their household over the past month, while two out of 10 respondents reported current constraints with food for them and their family members. This dataset is the anonymous version of the original dataset.

The 2022 Multi-Sectoral Needs Assessment (MSNA), conducted by the REACH Initiative in close collaboration with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and mandated by the Inter-cluster Coordination Group (ICCG), aims to understand the multi-sectoral and sector-specific needs, circumstances, and vulnerabilities of households across the entire territory of the Central African Republic. It also aims to understand specific needs and vulnerabilities of population groups, namely non-displaced households, returnees, internally displaced persons (IDPs) living in host communities, and IDPs living at sites. The needs assessment covers protection, health, mental health, WASH, Shelter and NFI, Education, food security, livelihoods and disabilities, as well as the perception of and satisfaction with humanitarian aid (AAP). The 2022 MSNA was conducted through a statistically representative household survey across 66 accessible sub-prefectures (admin2) out of the 72 sub-prefectures of the country. The inaccessible sub-prefectures were evaluated using a Key Informant survey. In consultation with key humanitarian partners and actors, a joint set of indicators, questions, and answer choices were developed for the assessment of needs in the context of the Central African Republic. All surveys were conducted through face-to-face interviews, using the tablet-based Kobo Collect Open Data Kit (ODK) app. Household data collection took place from July 20 to September 18, 2022. A total of 12,347 households were assessed after data cleaning. Data is statistically representative at a 92% confidence level and a +/- 10% margin of error with a buffer of 10% for the entire population on the level of sub-prefectures (admin2) and higher levels, and for specific population groups on the level of prefectures (admin1) and higher levels.

The Vulnerability Assessment Framework (VAF) is a key tool used by humanitarian and development organizations in Jordan. It contributes to coherent vulnerability identification and programme delivery across sectors. It was designed in 2014 with a focus on Syrian refugees residing outside of camps. For the fifth bi-annual VAF population study in 2022, 6,427 refugee households residing in host communities were randomly sampled across all governorates to explore thematic and sectoral vulnerabilities for refugee populations of all nationalities within Jordan. This data was collected in person between July 2021 and October 2021.
