    1) Natural disaster events include avalanches, earthquakes, flooding, heavy rainfall & snowfall, and landslides & mudflows as recorded by OCHA field offices based on assessments in the field. 2) A natural disaster incident is defined as an event that has affected (i.e. impacted) people, who may or may not require humanitarian assistance. 3) The information includes assessment figures from OCHA, ANDMA, IOM, Red Crescent Societies, national NGOs, international NGOs, and ERM. 4) The number of affected people and houses damaged or destroyed are based on the reports received. These figures may change as updates are received.

    1) Natural disaster events include avalanches, extreme winter conditions, flooding, heavy rainfall, landslides & mudflows, and extreme weather (sandstorms, hail, wind, etc) as recorded by OCHA field offices and IOM Afghanistan Humanitarian Assistance Database (HADB). 2) A natural disaster incident is defined as an event that has affected (i.e. impacted) Afghans, who may or may not require humanitarian assistance. 3) HADB information is used as a main reference and supplemented by OCHA Field Office reports for those incidents where information is not available from the HADB. OCHA information includes assessment figures from OCHA, ANDMA, Red Crescent Societies, national NGOs, international NGOs, and ERM.

    Large-scale flooding and landslides have been triggered in several districts across Nepal following heavy rainfalls in July 2020. From the onset of monsoon on 12 June until 25 July, 130 people lost their lives, 115 were injured and 51 went missing due to floods and landslides according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.

The landslides and mudflows hit Humyai along the main streams of Bwanba County. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field.     UNOSAT code: LS20191125KEN This map illustrates satellite-detected landslides in Pokot South and Sigor Sub counties located in West Pokot county (Kenya) as detected from a Pleiades-1 image acquired on 28 November 2019. Several roads in the valley have been affected and at least 5 bridges were destroyed. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field.     This layer contains information about the additional environmental hazards - landslides, Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) and earthquakes - estimated during the Integrated Context Analysis (ICA) run in Pakistan in 2017. Data source: NDMA 1950-2015 (landslides and GLOF), NDMA 1905-2015 (earthquakes). The key indicators used for the analysis were 5-point scales of hazard levels ranging from very low to very high. It should be noted that these additional hazards represent aggravating factors that can provide further details to refine broad programmatic strategies, but are not to be considered as stand-alone maps. For the purpose of this analysis, only the high and very high hazards have been mapped on top of the ICA Areas (see the relative static maps for further details).     This layer contains information about the landslide hazard - by second-level administrative area - estimated during the Integrated Context Analysis (ICA) run in Ecuador in 2018. Data source: Secretaría Nacional de Gestión de Riesgos y SUN MOUNTAIN, 2011. The methodology used to estimate the landslide hazard included parameters such as the terrain slope, the land cover and final use, the soil texture and depth and the maximum expected rainfall on a daily and yearly basis. The classifications of these parameters have been combined into a final qualitative score. The main indicators used for the purposes of the analysis were the percentage of surface area at landslide hazard and the most recurrent landslide hazard class - according to SGR - by second-level administrative area.
