The methodology used to estimate the drought hazard included parameters such as the soil texture and ratio between the total precipitation and the average precipitation expected for a given region, whose classifications were combined into a final qualitative score. The main indicators used for the analysis were the percentage of surface at drought hazard and the most recurrent drought hazard class - according to MAGAP - by second-level administrative area.
