This shapefile contains the spatialized school age population grid by comunal section (administrative level 3) for Haiti in 2020. It was constructed using unconstrained spatialized age and sex population estimates for 2020 by WorldPop, by applying the methodology published by IIEP-UNESCO (2021). The shapefile contains information for Female, Male, and Total, for Pre-primary, Primary, Lower Secondary, and Upper secondary, reconstructed from single years of age using ISCED information on starting age and duration included in UIS. Finally, the estimations are adjusted so that totals match the UN population estimates prepared by the United Nations Population Division. The boundaries used for the clipping of the resulting calculations came from the Centre National de l'Information Géo-Spatiale (CNIGS), shared through HDX. Disclaimer: The designations employed and the presentation of the material in this publication do not imply the expression of any opinion whatsoever on the part of UNESCO or IIEP concerning the legal status of any country, territory, city or area, or of its authorities, or concerning the delimitation of its frontiers or boundaries. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has developed a monitoring system in 25 food crisis countries to better understand the impacts of various shocks on agricultural livelihoods, food security and local value chains. The Monitoring System consists of primary data collected from households and key informants (including agricultural inputs vendors, food traders and agriculture extension officers) on a periodic basis (more or less every four months, depending on seasonality). Data are mainly collected through Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI). In-person surveys are conducted where the circumstances allow for field access. As the system is developed, the information collected and analyzed is being used to guide strategic decisions, to design programmes and to inform analytical processes such as the Integrated Phase Classification (IPC) and the Humanitarian Needs Overview (HNO). At the core of the system is a standardized household questionnaire administered to around 100,000 households across the 25 countries. Standardization permits comparisons across time and space, considerably enhancing the utility of the data for decision makers. At minimum the household data are representative at Admin 1 level (e.g. province, or region) and in some cases at Admin 2 level (e.g. district). Core funding for this initiative comes from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The initiative also benefits from support from the European Union and FAO’s Special Fund for Emergency and Rehabilitation (SFERA). The contents of the work are the sole responsibility of FAO and do not necessarily reflect the views of USAID, the United States Government or the European Union. On the Hub Homepage ( https://data-in-emergencies.fao.org/ ) it is possible to create an account and explore/download aggregated data related to the following thematic areas: 1) Incomes and shocks 2) Crop Production 3) Livestock Production 4) Food Security 5) Needs Aggregated datasets are generated from household interviews performed after August 2021. At every new survey data release, after cleaning and validation phases, aggregated data is appended to the present datasets. In each aggregated field, the values indicate the frequencies of the different responses, expressed as a weighted percentage of the total sample.

UNOSAT code: FL20220424SSD This map illustrates cumulative satellite-detected water using VIIRS in South Sudan between 20 to 24 April 2022 compared with the period from 14 to 18 May 2022. Within the cloud free analyzed areas of about 630,000 km2, a total of about 9,000 km2 of lands appear to be affected with flood waters. Water extent appears to have decreased of about 800 km2 since the period between 20 to 24 April 2022. Based on Worldpop population data and the maximal flood water coverage, ~220,000 people are potentially exposed or living close to flooded areas. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field. Please send ground feedback to the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT).

Governments are taking a wide range of measures in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. The Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Tracker (OxCGRT) aims track and compare government responses to the coronavirus outbreak worldwide rigorously and consistently. The OxCGRT systematically collects information on several different common policy responses governments have taken, scores the stringency of such measures, and aggregates these scores into a common Stringency Index. This dataset contains the change in the cost of a food basket in relation to a previous period (Periods of 3 months). The change of the cost of basic food basket is calculated by comparing the seasonally adjusted cost of the food basket with the cost in the reference period (previous quarter or baseline), as percentage change. The change is considered normal when the percentage change is between 0 and 3%, moderate when it is between 3 and 10%, high when it is between 10 and 25%, and severe above 25%. Note that the countries included here only include those monitored by WFP.
