Methodology

The dataset is sourced from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Settlements COD datasets for SEN endorsed by RO on July 2016; see metadata for description of cleaning and processing performed by ITOS. Last update March 2017

Caveats / Comments

The dataset represents the populated places of Sierra Leone. All localities have unique pcodes; users should be aware that: - 4 points exist with identical geometry and the same name. - 3,042 points exist with identical geometry but different names. - No points exist in Admin3 unit "Central I".
