The data collection and updating operations carried out under the DTM program show an increase in the number of displaced persons in Mali between July and October 2020. The displaced population in the region increased by 8.2% compared to July (DTM report of July 2020). The number of IDPs has indeed increased from 287,496 people (DTM report July 2020) to 311,193 in October 2020, i.e. an increase of 23,697 individuals. This increase is explained by the worsening of security conditions in the regions of Ségou, Mopti, Timbuktu, Gao and Ménaka in recent months, causing more and more displacement.
