This dataset contains the number of confirmed cases, recoveries and deaths by country and subnational region due to the Coronavirus pandemic in Europe. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 crisis, the Joint Research Centre (JRC) has been supporting the European Commission in multidisciplinary areas to understand the COVID-19 emergency, anticipate its impacts, and support contingency planning. This data provides an overview of the monitoring in the area of the 34 UCPM Participating States plus Switzerland related to sub-national data (admin level 1) on numbers of contagious and fatalities by COVID-19, collected directly from the National Authoritative sources (National monitoring websites, when available). The sub-national granularity of the data allows to have a fit-for-purpose model to early capture the local spread and response to the COVID-19 outbreak. The recent earthquake that struck the south of Turkey and the north of Syria on the 6th of February has caused widespread destruction and devastation in the region. Thousands of people lost their lives, and many more were injured. The aftermath of this disaster has left many families displaced and in desperate need of medical attention. In response to this crisis, the Assistance Coordination Unit (ACU) conducted a survey in health facilities in northwest Syria to assess epidemiologically earthquake-induced injuries in northwest Syria. This report aims to present this survey’s findings and provide insights into the types of injuries sustained by individuals affected by the earthquake using the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, 10th revision (ICD 10). This report highlights the urgent need for medical aid and support in the affected areas to prevent further loss of life and alleviate the suffering of those impacted by this tragic event.

La nature multiforme de la crise en Haïti explique que la coordination humanitaire estime à 4,9 millions le nombre de personnes dans le besoin en 2022. Tandis que l’accès humanitaire représente un obstacle de plus en plus tangible à la collecte d’information, en raison du caractère enclavé de certaines zones et du contexte sécuritaire volatile, les données disponibles sont généralement spécifiques à une intervention, un lieu ou un secteur. Afin de répondre à ces défis en termes de gestion de l’information, REACH, sous le mandat du GCIS a facilité pour la première fois en Haïti une Evaluation multisectorielle des besoins (MSNA) qui couvre l'ensemble du territoire afin d'informer le Cycle de programmation humanitaire (HPC) 2023. La collecte de données a eu lieu du 12 juin au 13 septembre 2022. 3896 ménages ont participé à l'enquête, dont 1188 dans la Zone métropolitaine de Port-au-Prince. Les entretiens ont été effectués en personne. REACH Initiative a effectué la collecte pour les ménages en population générale. L'échantillon est stratifié par grappes avec un niveau de confiance de 95% et une marge d'erreur de 10%. Les données sont disponibles au niveau des départements et des milieux (soit rural, soit urbain), et au niveau des communes pour la Zone métropolitaine de Port-au-Prince. L'échantillon n'a pas pu être complété pour le département de l'Ouest en zone rurale du fait des contraintes sécuritaires de septembre 2022, les résultats sont donc à considérer comme indicatifs. Pour les populations déplacées et rapatriées, les données ont été collectées par l'OIM. Le questionnaire a été mis au point avec les partenaires sectoriels et les groupes de travail thématiques. Il est traduit en créole haïtien.

The 2022 Multi-Sector Needs Assessment (MSNA), conducted by the REACH Initiative in close collaboration with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), aims to identify and assess multi-sectoral and sector-specific needs, circumstances, and vulnerabilities of households across the entirety of the Occupied Palestinian Territories (oPt). The assessment is designed to directly inform joint humanitarian-development planning across the oPt through the provision of comprehensive, multi-sectoral data and inter-sectoral analysis. In particular, the MSNA serves as a critical information resource for Humanitarian Program Cycle (HPC) activities, principally the development of the Humanitarian Needs Overview (HNO) and the Humanitarian Response Plan. All data collection activities for the MSNA were conducted by the Palestinian Central Bureau for Statistics (PCBS) and took place from May 30 to July 6. A total of 8,331 households were assessed, of which 4,152 were in the Gaza Strip and 4,179 in the West Bank, including 244 in East Jerusalem. Analysis findings at the strata level, meaning the localities of the Gaza Strip, the governorates of the West Bank according to “Oslo Area”, East Jerusalem, and H2, are statistically representative with a 95% level of confidence and a +/- 9% margin of error. Findings at the governorate level, for both the West Bank and Gaza, are representative at a higher degree of accuracy.
