DTM in Yemen includes the monitoring of key migrant and return locations on Yemen's northern border with Saudi Arabia and southern coastal border. DTM monitors the arrivals of migrants and Yemeni nationals in order to identify different patterns and types of migration. IOM estimates that 6,589 migrants entered Yemen in addition to 2,819 Yemeni returns from Saudia Arabia during November 2019 bringing the number of migrants who have arrived in Yemen in 2019 to ‭127,275‬‬ and the number of Yemeni returnees to 44,777

This dataset is part of the data series [?]: IOM - DTM Site and Location Assessment
The aim of the Sub-Area Assessment is to track and monitor IDP and returnee populations in Yemen. Information is collected on population size, area of origin, current location, duration of displacement, shelter types, priority needs and movement trends. Among the main outputs of the Sub-Area Assessment, is a list of locations where IDPs and/or returnees are present that can be used to inform more detailed assessments at the location level, including the annual Multi-Cluster Location Assessment (MCLA). DTM field staff, along with KIs, use the Sub-Area Assessment tool to capture locations, which are matched to the identified locations in the OCHA Common Operational Dataset (P-Codes).

In this report DTM estimates that over 420,000 individuals have experienced rapid onset displacement. The majority of these IDPs were reported to be displaced from Al Hudaydah during the month of June, with Hajjah Governorate households experiencing displacement from Hayran district in late August.

The Task Force for Population Movement (TFPM) is a Technical Working Group to the Inter-Cluster Coordination Mechanism. (ICCM) The TFPM implements an information management tool that gathers data and location of displaced persons across Yemen. As of 01 Sep 2017, the TFPM has identified, 2,014,026 internally displaced persons (IDPs) (335,671 households) who have been displaced due to conflict since March 2015, dispersed across 21 governorates. For the same period, the TFPM has identified 956,076 returnees (159,346 households), across 20 governorates. As a result, 10.3% of the total population of Yemen has experienced the shock of displacement due to conflict in the last 30 months. The data collected is a compilation of data collection activities conducted through the period of May to August 2018. The data presents the best estimates of displacement and returnee movements in locations across Yemen.
