This dataset reflects the aggregation of the registration exercises conducted in Sudan since 2010, contains IDPs, households and Returnees by age and sex. All DTM registration and assessment exercises were jointly conducted in collaboration with Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC).

Because of the Manaro Voui volcanic activity the entire island of Ambae was evacuated in July-August 2018. DTM is tracking a total of 11,339 displaced Ambaeans in 2,870 households across Sanma, Penama and Shefa provinces , which accounts for 97% of the pre-evacuation (2016) population. Estimated 3,750 Ambaeans have returned to Ambae by February 2019.

A 6.4 magnitude earthquake has struck off Lombok, province of West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia which affected the three districts of North Lombok, East Lombok and West Lombok. The dataset contains age-and-sex disaggregated displaced people at sub national level. The dataset, also, has place of origin, needs of the displaced people and camp locations and status.

In this report DTM estimates that over 420,000 individuals have experienced rapid onset displacement. The majority of these IDPs were reported to be displaced from Al Hudaydah during the month of June, with Hajjah Governorate households experiencing displacement from Hayran district in late August.

Nigeria Baseline data from Dec 14 to Oct 17

The Task Force for Population Movement (TFPM) is a Technical Working Group to the Inter-Cluster Coordination Mechanism. (ICCM) The TFPM implements an information management tool that gathers data and location of displaced persons across Yemen. As of 01 Sep 2017, the TFPM has identified, 2,014,026 internally displaced persons (IDPs) (335,671 households) who have been displaced due to conflict since March 2015, dispersed across 21 governorates. For the same period, the TFPM has identified 956,076 returnees (159,346 households), across 20 governorates. As a result, 10.3% of the total population of Yemen has experienced the shock of displacement due to conflict in the last 30 months. The data collected is a compilation of data collection activities conducted through the period of May to August 2018. The data presents the best estimates of displacement and returnee movements in locations across Yemen.

Since May 2013, Nigeria has seen an intensification of conflict due to Boko Haram attacks in its north east states of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe. Insurgency and counter-insurgency have inevitably resulted in the displacement of people across the troubled states. In response to the need for accurate information on internally displaced persons (IDPs), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) began implementing the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) project in July 2014. The objective of the project is to support the Government of Nigeria in establishing a comprehensive system to collect and disseminate data on IDPs by strengthening the capacity of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the State Emergency Management Agencies (SEMAs) and other humanitarian actors to conduct assessments on IDPs in a unified and systematized manner. The activities of the DTM project, which consist of conducting baseline assessments and registration for IDPs living in camps and host communities, are currently being carried out in Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe. The information collected will contribute to the provision of a comprehensive profile of the IDP population in Nigeria which will be shared with all relevant stakeholders and will contribute towards enabling the government of Nigeria and humanitarian partners identify the needs of Nigeria’s displaced population and develop interventions for providing IDPs necessary assistance. The project is funded by the Office of Disaster Assistance of the United States Agency for International Development and the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Department.
