The dataset contains IDPs individuals and households at admin2 level. IOM has been developing a Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) since May 2015 aimed at effectively monitoring and evaluating the flows of Burundian IDPs and providing accurate information on the current IDP situation. The DTM in Burundi has been successfully used in 2014, upon the request of the humanitarian community and the GoB when some areas of Bujumbura were flooded, which caused displacement. This tool allowed registering IDPs in four IDP sites and in host families in four locations and identifying their humanitarian needs. The dataset includes returnees from abroad who are still displaced in the country. They are categorized as IDPs due to their continued displacement within the country.

This dataset is part of the data series [?]: UNHCR - Post Distribution Monitoring of Non-Food Items
More than 900,000 Rohingya refugees are living in extremely congested camps in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. Since their arrival in Bangladesh, they have been dependent on humanitarian aid for their survival, including food, core-relief items, shelter and other basic services. The in-kind relief items were distributed between January 2024 and May 2024 to 97,769 households. The in-kind relief items included Female Hygiene Kit, LPG, Shelter Materials and NFI kits. UNHCR conducted Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) to collect refugees’ feedback on the quality, sufficiency, utilization, and effectiveness of the assistance we provide, which helps improve and adapt the services as per the refugees’ needs. For this PDM exercise, a mixed methodology incorporating both qualitative and quantitative methods was used. By qualitative method, FGD (Focus Group Discussion) disaggregated by gender and age were conducted with recipients of in-kind assistance in 9 camps. 20 group discussions (9 male groups, 9 female groups and 2 GDP groups) took place in July 2024. Whereas by quantitative method, in-person survey with structured reviewed questionnaires for NFI and shelter recipients took place. A total of 1795 households were interviewed by trained independent enumerators from June-July 2024 in 16 refugee designated camp locations (15 camps in Cox’s Bazar and 1 Camp in Bhasan Char) where UNHCR and its partners distributed non-food items and shelter material.

Representative survey of Afghan refugee households residing in Tajikistan was conducted in October – December 2022 with the objective to better understand the profile, aspirations and needs of Afghan refugees residing in Tajikistan, and to identify the current and future needs for support of refugees, in particular with respect to social assistance and labor programs. 1985 Afghan refugee and asylum seeker households registered with UNHCR were interviewed in Districts of Republican Subordination (DRS), Sughd oblast, Khatlon oblast, Dushanbe. Questionnaire covered such data as Household and individual profile, Legal status, Employment and labor market aspirations, Migration history and future migration intention, Social networks, Housing, utilities & health, Trust, social cohesion and mental health, Gender: household decisions and social norms. The qualitative study was aimed to assess barriers and enablers of socio-economic integration of Afghan refugees in Tajikistan. The objectives of the assessment were to explore socio-economic background, human and social capital of refugees and their family members, immediate and long-term needs of refugees and host communities that could facilitate socio-economic integration; determine refugees’ and host communities’ expectations and concerns and propose feasible solutions to address or mediate convenes through public policy programs and projects; reveal potential risks for refugees and host communities and barriers to socio- economic integration of refugees in Tajikistan. 250 participants were interviewed in December 2021 - January 2022 via Semi-structured and interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD).

This datasets has IDPs, Household & Returnees data at Admin3 level gathered through DTM Mobility Tracking Assessment. In the context of the political instability that has prevailed since the uprising in Libya (October 2011) and culminated in the collapse of a fragile central authority accompanied by fragmentation and infighting among myriads of militias, with continued fighting since the mid-2014 escalations, estimates indicate that the number of Internally Displaced Per-sons (IDPs) in Libya has exceeded 400,000 individuals, some eight percent of the total population (HNO, September 2015). While the country struggles to achieve and maintain stability, thousands of migrants are also taking journeys to and through Libya in a desperate bid to seek a better life in Europe. These migrants are exposed to risks of being trafficked and exploited while traveling through dangerous routes in deserts and territories controlled by different armed groups, as well as dying during attempts to cross the Mediterranean Sea. However, there has been no standardized mechanism in place to verify and regularly update IDP and migrant numbers. Given that most humanitarian and international organizations operate remotely from Tunis since mid-July 2014 due to the deteriorating security situation, maintaining access to reliable and updated data on the humanitarian situation in Libya has been challenging.

More than 900,000 Rohingya refugees are living in extremely congested camps in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. Since their arrival in Bangladesh, they have been dependent on humanitarian aid for their survival, including food, core-relief items, shelter and other basic services. The NFI Core Relief Item kits were distributed between November 2022 and May 2023 to 76,586 households. The NFI kits included CRH(20 KG), Female Hygiene Kit, Tote Bag, Solar lamp, White Kit Bag (Sand Bags), Jerry Can, Blanket, Sleeping Mats, Buckets, Mosquito Net, Bath Soap (Toilet Soap) Laundry Soap, Plastic Sheet (Tarpaulin) and Kitchen sets . UNHCR conducted Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) to collect refugees’ feedback on the quality, sufficiency, utilization, and effectiveness of the assistance we provide, which helps improve and adapt the services as per the refugees’ needs. Shelter kits consisted of Tarpaulin, Trapaulin (Big), Borak (Untreated), Borak (Treated), Muli 3mm Rope (kg), 6mm Rope (kg), GI Wire (kg), Cement (bags), RCC/ Metal footing Nut bolt (8inch), Nut bolt (6inch), TDK (Set), Padlock (Set), Polythene (Kg), Ribbon (Kg), Sand (cft), Jute Bage (pcs), Brick Brick Chips(CFT), Red Oxide (Gallon), MS Angle (KG), and Insuline Foam (SFT). For this PDM exercise, a mixed methodology incorporating both qualitative and quantitative methods was used. By qualitative method, FGD (Focus Group Discussion) disaggregated by gender and age were conducted with recipients of NFI and shelter material in 9 camps. 20 group discussions (9 male groups, 9 female groups and 2 GDP groups) took place in August 2023. Whereas by quantitative method, in-person survey with structured reviewed questionnaires for NFI and shelter recipients took place. A total of 1791 households were interviewed by trained independent enumerators from May 2023 in 17 refugee designated camp locations (16 camps in Cox’s Bazar and 1 Camp in Bhasan Char) where UNHCR and its partners distributed non-food items and shelter material. The PDM survey found that items distributed by UNHCR and partners, including NFI items, WASH Hygiene kits, Female Hygiene kits and LPG generally met the declared household needs and the minimum quality standards for NFIs as approved by the Bangladesh Shelter/NFI Sector in Cox's Bazar. For most items, more than 80% said the quantity was sufficient, with the exception of mats, blankets, mosquito nets and soap.

Division of Emergency, Security, and Supply (DESS) set up a sustainable product development team to re-design the UNHCR relief items and their packaging to include recycled and renewable content to reduce the associated GHG emissions by 20% by 2025. UNHCR uses Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) as a mechanism to collect refugees' feedback on the quality, sufficiency, utilization and effectiveness of the assistance items they receive. The underlying principle behind the process is linked to accountability, as well as a commitment to improve the quality and relevance of support provided, and related services. To assess the re-design and collect feedback on the green core-relief items, the end-user survey or PDM was implemented in Quetta and Peshwar. 741 households were surveyed. Data was collected in April and May 2023.
